You Can Be a Part of Preserving the Reality & Legacy of the World War II Generation
The Museum’s exhibits preserve the reality of the lives and times of “the Greatest Generation”. There is no “virtual reality”, there are no reproductions, there is no political correctness, there is no rewriting history to the way some wished it had been, there are no movie set type displays-it is all real-the actual artifacts and the actual words of the people who lived it. The museum does not interpret World War II- it Saves the Reality of the most momentous event of the twentieth century.
You can make it possible for more people to be able to experience the museum, expand school programs, increase the use of the original source material in the museum’s archives, expand the speaker program and special exhibitions.
You can ensure that the museum’s mission and message is safe-guarded for the future.
The legacy the World War II generation gave to all of us is the legacy of freedom, the sense of greatness and patriotism that united Americans in shocking Japan and Nazi Germany who thought Americans were no longer the same people who founded the country and settled the West. The immediate industrial output was unimaginable in any other country, and so was the patriotism-North and South, East and West-everyone was an American, and the Japanese and Hitler made the fatal mistake of underestimating America’s will to preserve her freedom.
They saved the world. It is the mission of this museum to save their legacy. You can make a difference in the programs we can offer, the staffing we have available for tours and researchers.
THEY SAVED THE WORLD
THEY SAVED OUR FREEDOM
YOU CAN SAVE THEIR LEGACY

HELP THE CAMPAIGN TO ENSURE THE EXPANSION OF THE MUSEUM OF WORLD WAR II
Estate Donations:
Through your estate planning, what you have worked your lifetime to create can be your legacy to bring the reality of the World War II generation to more people and educate more students. They fought and died so that we could live in freedom, and not speak Japanese or German, so that we could have what our life's accomplishments are. We can all keep alive their sense of total patriotism, their belief in a united and strong America, everyone fighting and working together to save the American Dream.
Your belief in these American values can live on through the mission of the Museum of World War II
Volunteer your Time:
If you live in the Boston area, enjoy working and talking with people, are reliable and attentive to security details, please contact us (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.). You do not need to be an expert in World War II-an overall knowledge is, of course, necessary, and an easy manner with people is important.
Donations of Artifacts and Papers:
We are actively accepting unrestricted donations of papers and artifacts that will help us preserve the reality of World War II. We cannot promise to exhibit pieces, but we agree to accept only papers and artifacts we believe will be of value to the museum’s mission both in terms of exhibitions and research.
For more information, see our page about Donations of Artifacts and Papers.
